Last Thursday in my class, I realized one of my students was only moving parts of his body instead of the whole body while doing Tai Chi. In our Tai Chi class, we emphasize moving yourself as a whole piece instead part of the body. While we exercise, we exercise the whole body. The result will be whole instead of parts as well. When every part of your body is moving together, they coordinate and help each other move. When I practice My Tai Chi alone, I call it a “group exercise”.

I was just looking for some information on line and happened to find the lyric of a song from one of my favorite movie, “The Thief of Baghdad” . I used to only remeber the first sentence from this song. Suddently now, everything came out. Isn’t Tai Chi the same thing? After Years of perform. When the time comes, the right feeling came out in one day.
I WANT TO BE A SAILOR
From the movie “The Thief of Baghdad” (1940)
(Miklós Rózsa / Robert Denham / William Kernell) I want to be a sailor,
Sailing out to sea.
No plowboy, tinker, tailor’s,
Any fun to be.
Aunts and cousins,
By the baker’s dozens,
Drive their men to sea,
Or highway robbery.
I want to be a bandit,
Can’t you understand it?
Sailing to sea is life for me,
Is life for me.

Waked up early to gather some Qi.
Recognized that foliage start to have blush.
Like an evening sun dyes the leaves red with it’s shine.
Natural has endless energy.
Moves, Transfers and Changes…
Just like doing it’s own Tai Chi.

Some students were asking, “Why we have to do Brush knee 3 times, or even 5 times after first ‘white crane spread it’s wings’”. Well, if I practice by myself, I usually would do 7 times in a row. If I eat one piece of “wine flavored fish”, I didn’t quiet get the flavor. The more I have, the more flavors I could get.
Didn’t we always say, The More The Merrier!

This is sent by Myron Neville from Abbotsford, BC, canada. I found it’s very peaceful. I would like to share with everyone.

Late at night
The rain falls gently
On Spring’s sugar maple leaves
The sound weaving itself
Around my endless circles
Of T’ai Chi Ch’uan

Your body is like a battery. When you use force, move around, try to release energy, you are using your battery. When you take a rest, such as sleep, or eat and drink, you are charging your battery. Doing Tai Chi is a way to minimize the releasing of your energy, since Tai Chi requires you relaxed. When you lay on a beach chair, you are relaxed, you felt like you are recharging your battery. Tai Chi does the same to you.
Now, people would still say, well, I am still going to do my gardening, play my piano, do my golf. They all require energy. Well, did I say that just doing Tai Chi will minimize the releasing of your energy? What I really mean is to melt Tai Chi theory into your life. When your life is mixed with Tai Chi. Every thing you do will be relaxed, peaceful and graceful. You will maintain full of energy with Tai Chi in your life.
